- Brilliant, insightful, and worth the time.
- It encouraged me to think outside the box when planning lessons to engage learners.
- A treasure hunt car drive on a Sunday afternoon.
- Think about the essential issues rather than the symptoms.
- Really enjoyed the curiosity aspect.
- Like entering a cupboard on a rarely used corridor.
- Good ideas, fun.
- A bouncing ball, bouncing a little higher each time.
- Thoroughly enjoyed the session – very inspirational.
- Learning today is like reading a new play – with themes and issues and interesting characters.

- I wish I had gone to school when all of this was put to use.
- Like a great curry – I’m full, but I still want more!
- I am now going to build curiosity into my lessons.
Transformational Observation
Sam Hutchings, Burton & South Derbyshire College
"Tony’s session on Transformational Lesson Observation was very well received by all staff who attended as is evident from the feedback collected on the day. It has helped the team to consider how they might create conditions for success within the College, alongside a shift of focus of the College’s Learning Teaching and Assessment Developmental Review approach from process to outcome. There was a sense that the generation of a dialogue between the reviewer and the reviewee aimed at developing ways to maximise the impact of learning for future sessions would be a crucial factor in determining the success of this approach".
